UGC NET June 2026 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC-NET June 2026 examination results for 84 subjects on August 28, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check their results and download their scorecards through the official UGC NET website.
UGC NET June 2026 Examination
The UGC-NET June 2026 examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The examination was held on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 2026 and July 5, 2026, across 655 examination centres in 286 cities throughout the country.
The examination was conducted for a total of 87 subjects.
However, the examination for three subjects — English, Commerce and Sociology — will be conducted again on September 9 and 10, 2026.

Among the registered candidates, 4,30,195 were female candidates, accounting for 55.59% of the total registrations.

UGC NET June 2026 Result: Qualified Candidates
The result statistics released by NTA show that:
- 4,241 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor.
- 45,904 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.
- 97,434 candidates qualified for Ph.D. only.
Candidates should check their individual scorecards for their subject-wise performance and qualification status.
English, Commerce and Sociology Exam to Be Re-Conducted
NTA has announced that the UGC NET examination for English, Commerce and Sociology will be re-conducted.
The re-examination is scheduled for:
September 9, 2026 and September 10, 2026
Candidates belonging to these three subjects should take note of the revised examination schedule.
Important Notice for English, Commerce and Sociology Candidates
Candidates from English, Commerce and Sociology who are scheduled to appear for the re-conducted examination may receive an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they try to access the UGC NET June 2026 Scorecard before their re-examination.
NTA has clarified that the result and scorecard for these candidates will be made available only after the re-conduct of their examination.
Therefore, candidates from these three subjects do not need to panic if their scorecard is currently unavailable.

- Enter your Application Number.
- Enter the required Password/Date of Birth details.

- Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference.

Question Paper, Answer Key and Recorded Responses
NTA had made the Question Paper, Provisional Answer Key(s) and Recorded Responses available for the concerned candidates of the 84 subjects.
Candidates were allowed to raise challenges against the provisional answer keys between August 16 and August 18, 2026.
The challenges received from candidates were examined by subject experts, and the results were processed based on the answer keys finalized by the experts.

The declaration of the UGC NET result does not mean that all eligibility requirements have been finally verified.
The eligibility criteria, self-declaration and required documents of eligible candidates will be verified by the concerned authorities according to the applicable rules and the UGC-NET June 2026 Information Bulletin.
