The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has issued instructions regarding the correction of errors found in the SSLC Examination-1 and Examination-2 2026 pass marks cards.
Marks cards of students who passed the SSLC Examination-1 and Examination-2 2026 have been printed school-wise and dispatched to the concerned Block Education Officer (BEO) offices through the printers specified by the Board.
After receiving the marks cards, the concerned BEO offices will hand them over to the respective school Headmasters for immediate distribution to students.
SSLC Marks Card Correction 2026
If any information such as the student’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, medium or other details is incorrect in the SSLC Examination-1 or Examination-2 2026 pass marks card, the marks card can be sent to the Board for correction as per the prescribed procedure.
The corrected marks card will be issued after following the required process and paying the prescribed fee.
Who is Responsible for Applying?
The Board has clarified that the marks cards were printed based on the information already submitted by the school Headmaster to the Board.
Therefore, if details such as the student’s name, date of birth or parents’ names are incorrect due to errors at the school level, the school Headmaster will be responsible for submitting the correction application.
Students are not permitted to apply directly to the Board for correction of such marks cards.
The school Headmaster must submit the physical application to the Board.
SSLC Marks Card Correction Fee
As per Government Order No. ED 355 SLB 2017 dated 11 June 2020, a penalty/correction fee of ₹1,000 has been prescribed for correction of such errors.
The ₹1,000 fee must be paid by the school Headmaster through NEFT Challan to the Board.
Last Date for Physical Correction Application
The school Headmasters can submit applications for correction of the SSLC 2026 pass marks cards up to 15 October 2026.
Therefore, schools should verify the details in the marks cards carefully and submit applications for eligible corrections within the prescribed deadline.
What Happens After 15 October 2026?
After 15 October 2026, if a correction is required, the applicant will have to apply online and obtain a corrected marks card through the prescribed online process.
The Board has also clarified that the marks card issued through the correction process after the specified period will not be treated as the original marks card.
Such a corrected marks card will carry the signature of the Divisional Secretary/Ex-officio Joint Director instead of the signature of the Hon’ble Chairman.
