Karnataka Guarantee Committees 2026:Karnataka Government forms six-member Gram Panchayat and Ward Guarantee Committees to strengthen the implementation of guarantee schemes across the state.

The Government of Karnataka has ordered the formation of Gram Panchayat Guarantee Committees and Ward Guarantee Committees across the state to ensure that the five guarantee schemes are delivered to beneficiaries in a systematic, effective and efficient manner.

The order has been issued under Government Order No. ಸಿಆಸುಇ(ಆಸು) 68 ತಎಇ 2026, Bengaluru, dated 18 July 2026.

Objective of the Guarantee Committees

The Karnataka Government is implementing five guarantee schemes aimed at improving the lives of people across the state.

To strengthen the implementation and monitoring of these schemes at the grassroots level, guarantee committees have already been constituted at various levels, including:

  • State-level Guarantee Scheme Implementation Authority
  • District-level Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committees
  • Taluk-level Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committees
  • GBA-level Guarantee Scheme Implementation Committees
  • Committees for selected major municipal corporations

As part of this system, the Government has now decided to establish six-member committees at Gram Panchayat and Ward levels.

Gram Panchayat Guarantee Committee

A Gram Panchayat Guarantee Committee will be constituted for Gram Panchayats across Karnataka.

Composition – 6 Members

Category Members SC/ST 1 Minority* 1 Women 2 Other Backward Classes (OBC) 1 General Category 1 Total6

*If a suitable minority member is not available, the position may be filled from the General Category as specified in the order.

Ward Guarantee Committee

A Ward Guarantee Committee will be constituted for wards across the state.

Composition – 6 Members

*If a minority member is not available, the position may be filled from the General Category.

The important provisions of the Government Order are:

Five Guarantee Schemes
