The Karnataka Government has issued an important notification regarding the transfer and posting of four IPS officers. The orders have been issued with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.

Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar Appointed as CID SP
Smt Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar, IPS (KN 2014), who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West, Bengaluru, has been transferred with immediate effect.
She has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), replacing Sri Sam Varghese, IPS.
Dr. Ram L Arasiddi Gets Bengaluru Intelligence Posting
Dr. Ram L Arasiddi, IPS (KN 2018), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence, Bengaluru City.
The post was vacant, and the appointment has been made with immediate effect and will continue until further orders.
Lakshmi Ganesh K Posted as DCP, South West Bengaluru
Sri Lakshmi Ganesh K, IPS (KN 2020), who was also awaiting posting, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West, Bengaluru.
He will take over the post from Smt Anita Bhimappa Haddannavar, IPS.
Sam Varghese Transferred to Mangaluru
Sri Sam Varghese, IPS (KN 2022), who was serving as Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Bengaluru, has been transferred.
He has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Mangaluru City, against a vacant post.
Three Posts Declared Equivalent to SP Cadre Post
The Karnataka Government has also declared the following posts equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Superintendent of Police, Mandya, under Rule 12 of the IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016:
- Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department
- Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West, Bengaluru
- Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence, Bengaluru City
These posts have been included in Schedule II of the said rules.

The notification has been issued by order and in the name of the Governor of Karnataka.
The order has been signed by Sanjay B. S., Under Secretary to Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Services-4).
